This raised further suspicion that the premises were being used as a relay point for transmitting internet connectivity across the border. Trin Leelanuch, Investigator at the Technology Crime Division, Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), Royal Thai Police<\/strong>, said, \u201cThe investigation began after abnormal internet traffic was detected at a company location in Mae Sot district near the border. Authorities closely monitored the activity and gathered evidence before obtaining a court search warrant.<\/p>\n<p>The search revealed illegally installed and modified equipment used to transmit internet signals across the border to Myanmar. Officers coordinated with the service provider to immediately terminate the network circuits and seized the illegal equipment as evidence. The NBTC therefore works closely with telecom operators to strictly enforce regulatory measures governing internet services and network installations along border areas.
