First Set up AP D-Link DIR-842 by Wizard Menu

  1. Type 192.168.0.1 or http://dlinkrouter.local./ > Password : leave it blank then press  Login
  2. Welcome page, press Next
  3. Select DHCP Connection (Dynamic IP Address)
  4. Set up as follows:
    • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network Name : enter name for 2.4GHz
    • 5GHz Wi-Fi Network Name : enter name for 5GHz
    • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Password : enter password for 2.4GHz
    • 5GHz Wi-Fi Password : enter password for 5GHz
    • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Security Mode : set Security type for 2.4GHz
    • 5GHz Wi-Fi Security Mode : set Security type for 5GHz
    • press Next
  5. Set the password to access Configuration page of AP (compulsory) then press Next
  6. Summary page, press Next
  7. Press Finish
  8. Wait for device to reboot 
  9. After rebooting, at Configuration page then check Status, it’ll show "Internet Connected" information
