Set up Wi-Fi on ZTE F688

  1. Type 192.168.1.1 at Browser then press Enter
    • Username = admin
    • Password = enter letters shown in Default Router Password (each ZTE model will vary)
    • Press Login
  2. Go to Local Network > WLAN
    • WLAN On/Off Configuration
    • WLAN (2.4GHz / 5GHz) : choose On to enable Wireless, choose Off to disable Wireless
    • When finished, press Apply
  3. WLAN Global Configuration : 2.4GHz
    • Channel : Automatic,  if Router is turned On/ Off, it’ll change to the best Channel at that moment, or you can manually select preferred Channel 
    • Mode : select 802.11b/g/n , this parameter is set to support all
    • Band Width : add band width to add more Sync Speed, but the connected device must be compatible with 40MHz
    • Transmitting Power : adjust Wi-Fi transmitting strength, by default is 100%
    • When finished, press Apply
  4. WLAN Global Configuration : 5GHz
    • Channel : Automatic,  if Router is turned On/ Off, it’ll change to the best Channel at that moment, or you can manually select preferred Channel 
    • Mode : select 802.11a/n/ac , this parameter is set to support all
    • Band Width : add band width to add more Sync Speed
    • Transmitting Power : adjust Wi-Fi transmitting strength, by default is 100%
    • When finished, press Apply
  5. WLAN SSID Configuration : SSID1 (2.4GHz) / SSID5 (5GHz)
    • On/Off : turn On/ Off this SSID
    • SSID Name : enter name of Wireless
    • SSID Hide : hide this SSID, to open you must manually connect device to Wireless
    • Encryption Type : WPA/WPA2-PSK-TKIP-AES , it's default setting type and most safety, you can change it as preferred
    • WPA Passphrase : contain 8 - 32 characters, can click at the eye icon to show password
    • When finished, press Apply
