Bangkok, 19 October 2026 – Technology today does more than connect people. It also powers a more sustainable future. True Corporation has reinforced its position as a Thai tech company committed to utilizing digital technology to transform its business while creating lasting value across environmental, social and governance (ESG) dimensions. Its VDO clip “Sustainability at True”, has won the GSMA Digital Nation Video Award 2026 in the Excellence in Sustainability category from GSMA Asia Pacific. The film shows how digital innovation delivers tangible sustainability outcomes for the economy, society and the environment through clear, compelling and inspiring storytelling.

Inside the Win: Communication that Highlights the Power of Collaboration and Delivers Measurable Sustainability Impact

What happens when individual efforts come together to create a better future? This question sets the stage for True’s sustainability communication, brought to life through its award-winning video under the theme “Working Together, Creating with Heart for a Sustainable World”. The video envisions the future through the eyes of three generations including children, working-age adults, and older people, connecting environmental, economic, and social perspectives. It then looks back on True’s journey of more than three decades growing alongside Thai society, guided by the belief that meaningful change begins with collective action, and that anything is possible when we have each other, True Together. This shared belief drives the creation of lasting value and a more sustainable world for future generations

Turning that belief into action, the film highlights measurable achievements across all three ESG pillars of True’s sustainability strategy. Under Living Right (Governance), True has helped more than 33.7 million people in Thailand access knowledge resources, developed digital and leadership skills among 90% of its employees, and received “Excellent” corporate governance rating. Living Well (Social) focuses on reducing inequality, with 5G coverage reaching 94% of Thailand’s population, 125 patent and petty patent applications, and livelihood development support for more than 378,735 vulnerable people. Under Living Together (Environmental), 100% of key suppliers have passed sustainability assessments, while greenhouse gas emissions had been reduced by 28% by the end of 2025. These figures are more than performance indicators. They demonstrate tangible progress that meets GSMA’s judging criteria for both sustainability outcomes and storytelling that connects with and inspires audiences.

Dr. Naetchanok Wipatasinlapin, Chief Sustainability Officer of True Corporation Plc., said that “Today, technology leadership is measured not only by how far innovation has progressed, but also by the value it creates for the economy, society and the environment. At True, sustainability is not separate from our business.  It is at the heart of our long-term growth. We utilize digital technologies to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, while leveraging the power of connectivity to bridge the digital divide. This GSMA award reaffirms that technology not only drives business growth but also creates meaningful, measurable positive change, made possible through the power of collective action “True Together”. It also inspires us to continue raising sustainability standards across Thailand’s telecommunications industry and building a more sustainable future for society and generations to come.”
