Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), said “MHESI is committed to building engines that drive the new economy through advanced technologies, recognising quantum technology as a key factor in strengthening the country’s competitiveness. The most important priority is to accelerate talent development in parallel with transition from research towards real-world industry applications. The collaboration under Quantum Club Thailand therefore brings together the strengths of government, academia and the private sector to build an innovation ecosystem that can be translated into tangible action, generate economic growth and position Thailand as an innovator of quantum initiatives in the future.”

Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont, Senior Vice Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of True Corporation Plc. and Chairman and CEO of Arise Ventures Group, said “The transition to the quantum era is not merely a technological advancement, but a significant transformation that will define a nation’s long-term competitiveness. The most critical element in this transition is not computers, data centers, or machinery, but ‘people.’ While technology can be acquired, building the talent capable of creating next-generation technologies requires continuous, local investment and development.

Thailand possesses distinct strengths across its talent, researchers, universities, and industry. The key lies in connecting these capabilities. Quantum Club Thailand is therefore not simply a forum for knowledge exchange, but a strategic collaboration platform that connects government, academia, business, and global partners to accelerate research, innovation, and real-world applications. Great innovations are never created by a single individual, as they emerge through the collaborative efforts of experts across diverse disciplines.”

Mr. Suphachai added, “Thailand must shift from being a technology follower to a co-innovator of technology. We should not merely be users of AI or quantum technology, but must build our own ecosystem of researchers, developers, and entrepreneurs. The success of technology is not measured by the number of research papers, but by its ability to solve real-world problems, improve the country’s efficiency, and enhance people’s quality of life.”

Mr. Ekaraj Panjavinin, Head of Research and Innovation, True Corporation Plc., said “Quantum technology will be one of the key technologies transforming the world and many industries in the future. If Thailand seeks to build long-term competitiveness, the country should not merely be a buyer or user of technology, but must begin today to jointly develop its own knowledge, talent, and innovation. As a leading Thai Telco-Tech company, True Corporation realizes the power of quantum technology as the next-generation infrastructure that will revolutionize industries and strengthen national competitiveness.

We are ready to leverage our intelligent network and digital ecosystem to drive Quantum Club Thailand beyond being a space for knowledge exchange, turning it into an ‘execution platform’ that connects the strengths of every sector from frontier knowledge and research to real-world business challenges to co-create innovation and translate it into tangible commercial viability for Thai industry. Our key goals cover every dimension, including the number of talent developed with practical skills, research applied in practice, industry pilot projects, and the emergence of Thai deep-tech startups on the global stage. Through a wide range of activities, including workshops, seminars, and connections with the international quantum communities, this initiative will drive Thailand’s readiness to become an innovator of the quantum era in reality.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worawat Meevasana, President of QTRic, said “QTRic currently features over 80 quantum technology prototypes supported by a robust network of more than 120 researchers across 19 partner organizations. Through the Quantum Club Thailand initiative, QTRic is ready to leverage this knowledge by synergizing academia, government, and industry, translating research into viable commercial use cases and expanding global partnerships to position Thailand as ASEAN’s Quantum Hub.”
