  Why do I need to re-confirm the possession of my numbers? 

    This is to align with NBTC’s regulation which aims to prevent scammers and to protect benefits of mobile phone users.​

  What are the channels that I can re-confirm the possession of my numbers? 

    For True customers: 
        - True website click 
        - True iService application > Select Menu “Mobile Re-identification”
        -  USSD : Dial *555*16*ID card no.# and press call
        - True Shops
    For dtac customers: 
        - dtac website click 
        - dtac application > Select Menu “Mobile Re-identification”
        -  USSD : Dial *555*16*ID card no.# and press call (starting 25 Jan 2024)
        - dtac Shops

  What are the consequences if the owner of numbers did not confirm by the due date?

     - According to the NBTC announcement, the service will be suspended. Customers cannot access the Internet or make a call except to these numbers; emergency numbers 191,1669 etc., and call center 1242(True) or 1678 (dtac). However, incoming calls can still be received.
     - To resume the service, the owner can proceed to confirm the possession of their numbers according to no.2. After completing the confirmation, the service will be resumed, depending on remaining validity days (prepaid) and overdue/outstanding balance (postpaid).​

  What is the due date for customers to confirm the possession after receiving SMS? 

     According to NBTC, the due date is based on the number of SIM card owned by the customers.
           6-100 SIM cards - By 13 July 2024 
           101 SIM cards or more - By 14 Feb 2024​

  For online channel via website, can I confirm via mobile phone, tablet, notebook or PC? ​

     Customers can confirm their possession on website via
           - Mobile phone 
           - Tablet with SIM card (as OTP is required)
           - Computer/PC/noteook are not allowed.​

  If the process via online channel is completed, is data updated immediately? ​

     Yes, it is a real-time update.

  In case that customers who own less than 6 SIM cards receives SMS, do they need to confirm their possession?​

    Yes, they are required to make the confirmation within the due date.​

  Which channel can customers check whether the confirmation process is complete?​

     Customers can check via USSD by dialing *555*16*ID card no.# and press call.
        - For dtac: Starting 25 Jan 2024 onwards
        - For True: Starting 16 Jan 2024 onwards​

  In case that customers have more numbers in possession (recently activated numbers) than the numbers that are listed on the website, do they need to confirm the possession of these new numbers?​

     - The numbers activated after 1 December 2023 are not required to confirm the possession.
      - Customers can check the numbers to confirm the possession according to the NBTC’s regulations via website. If there is a message displayed “This phone number is not required to confirm the possession, or you have completed the re-identification process.", that means the process is completed.

  If customers cannot confirm the number possession within the due date and the numbers are then cancelled, can they request to reconnect their numbers? 

    If the numbers are cancelled, they can be reactivated within the given period. Nevertheless, the customers are required to complete the process of confirming the number possession before resuming the number.​
